Exploring new ways to help more Australians save with solar

AGL is committed to helping more Australians harness the power of solar to lower their energy bills. That’s why we launched the AGL Virtual Solar pilot – an innovative trial in NSW that aimed to help more people access solar savings where they couldn’t before.

The AGL Virtual Solar pilot

Not everyone can install solar panels on their roof. It can be hard to save with solar if you’re a renter, live in an apartment or your roof isn’t suitable for a rooftop system.

To help solve this problem, we began the AGL Virtual Solar pilot. Together with our customers, we trialed a new way to help more Australians enjoy some of the financial benefits of going solar, without installing a single panel.

After a successful response to our campaign, the AGL Virtual Solar pilot is now complete and closed to new customers.

We’re excited to work through our findings and explore further ideas to help more Australians save from solar.
