How it works

Your solar battery stores excess energy produced by your solar system during the day, to use when you need it. This means your home could draw less electricity from the grid, which could help you lower your electricity bills.

AGL’s Virtual Power Plant can support the electricity grid when it needs it by discharging your battery. When this happens, your battery will first power your home before exporting any excess power to the grid.

You’ll always get a retailer feed-in tariff credit on your bill if your solar energy is exported to the grid.
